The Three Stations of the Heart, and Three States of Consciousness
"The root of the deeper personality is the causal being, seated in the right side of the heart. The context of the deeper personality is in the center of the heart. The place and circumstance of the dominance of the grosser personality is in the left side of the heart. Therefore, all transitions, all growth in the Way of the Heart, can be measured in terms of the steps or stages or positions of the heart. Everything extended from the positions of the heart is involved, but it all can be seen in the plane of the heart itself. The grosser personality on the left, the subtler manifestation of the deeper personality in the center, the root of the deeper personality on the right. And beyond that the Ultimate Nature, Beyond the heart on the right."

HEART CONVERSION TALK SERIES

Avatar Adi Da describes as the three stations of the heart, which can also be described as the three aspects of the single heart.

The seven stages of life is what Avatar Adi Da Samraj has called the "vertical" dimension of the body-mind. The vertical pathways contain both the descending and then ascending energy, associated with the fourth and fifth stages of life, which, in the sixth stage of life, finally falls into its source in the heart. This description is corroborated by many traditional descriptions, which speak of the chakras rising from the base of the perineum, and reaching the apex at the top of the head.

The three aspects of the heart all appear in the great heart region, or the chest area of the body. Avatar Adi Da calls the three aspects: the left side (or station) of the heart, the middle depth (or station) of the heart, and the right side (or station) of the heart. Consciousness has traditionally been understood to have three basic states, called the "avasthas" in Sanskrit. These are the states of waking, dreaming, and deep sleep that everyone knows.

The region of the left side of the heart is the station of the waking state, and bodily experience. The middle station of the heart is the station of the dreaming state, and all that is the deeper psyche or subtle and higher mind. The right side of the heart is the base of the state of deep sleep, and the presumption of an individual separate conscious self. Each of the stations of the heart is, of course, associated with the seven stages of life, as well as the vertical dimension of the body-mind. The left side of the heart is associated with the first three stages of life, and the "general" and "basic" contexts of the fourth stage of life, and thus the descending or frontal line of the body-mind. The left side of the heart is associated with the physical heart itself.

The middle station of the heart is associated with what is often known as the heart "chakra" (or "wheel"), a center of energy in the subtle dimension. The middle station of the heart is linked with the ascending fourth stage of life, and the fifth stage of life, in the spinal line.

The right side of the heart is the seat of the separate conscious self. In the sixth stage of life, the right side of the heart becomes awakened as the root-origin of attention, and the seat of the Witness-Position of Consciousness. As has been described, at the culmination of the ascending process, the Spirit-Energy "falls", or comes to rest, in the right side of the Spirit Energy in heart.

It is in the seventh stage of life that the Spirit-Current rises again in the "regeneration" of Amrita Nadi, from the right side of the heart to the matrix above the head. In this process, the body itself is infused with the Divine Spirit-Current in the Circle of the body-mind. Thus, the heart on the right remains always as the "foot" of the "organ" of Divine Self-Realization that is "Amrita Nadi".

Avatar Adi Da Samraj describes this fully in chapter forty-three of The Dawn Horse Testament, of the Ruchira Avatar and additionally describes His Unique Purpose of Introducing the seventh stage possibility:

The Heart Is The Primal Structure In the body-mind.

It Is Basically Made Of Three Parts, Indicated By The Left Side, The Middle Station, and The Right Side.

The Left Side Of The Heart Is The Base Of the waking state, bodily experience, The Descending or Frontal Line Of the body-mind, and The First Four Stages Of Life. (And The Left Side Of The Heart Is Stimulated By any kind of conceptual activity of mind.)

The Middle Station Of The Heart Is The Base Of the dreaming state, all that is the deeper psyche, or subtle mind, The Ascending or Spinal Line Of the body-mind, The Deeper Purpose Of The Fourth Stage Of Life (Even Also Expressed In The Region Of The Left Side Of The Heart and The Frontal Line Of the body-mind), and The Total Purpose Of The Fifth Stage Of Life. (And The Middle Station Of The Heart Is Stimulated By The Progressively Effective Relinquishment Of all conceptual activity of mind.)

The Right Side Of The Heart Is The Base Of the state of deep sleep, and It Is The Base Of The Uninspected Presumption Of an individual or Separate Conscious self, and It Is Associated With The Sixth Stage Course Of The Spirit-Current (That Moves Downward To The Right Side Of The Heart From Above The Total Crown Of the head, Via Amrita Nadi), and With The Ultimate Purpose Demonstrated In The Context Of (and By Moving Beyond) The Sixth Stage Of Life.

The Right Side Of The Heart Is Both The Ultimate Root-Origin Of attention and The Ultimate Root-Origin Of The Divine Spirit-Current Itself. The Right Side Of The Heart Is The bodily Seat Associated With The Witness-Position Of Consciousness (Which Even Witnesses, or Is Always Already Prior To, the conditional "I", or the self-Contraction, and Which, Thus, Witnesses, Inspects, and Inherently, or Always Already, Transcends the body-mind, the conditional states of waking, dreaming, and sleeping, and The Presumption Of an individual or Separate Conscious self).

Therefore, The Right Side Of The Heart Is Also The bodily Seat Associated (Apparently) With Transcendental, Inherently Spiritual, and (Most Ultimately) Divine Self-Realization, The "Regeneration" Of Amrita Nadi (or The Apparent Return Of The "Bright" Spirit-Current To the body-mind After The Awakening Of Divine Self-Realization), The Continuous Spontaneous Demonstration Of "Open Eyes" (or The Native Divine Recognition Of the body-mind and all of its phenomenal relations), and The Entire "Bright" Process Of The Seventh Stage Of Life. (And The Right Side Of The Heart Is Stimulated By Direct and Persistent Feeling-Observation, or Mere and Tacit Witnessing, Of The Root-Feeling Of Relatedness, but The Right Side Of The Heart, and Even The Total Heart, Is Fully Awakened, or Most Perfectly Resolved In Its Perfect Source, Only In The Inherently mindless, and,

Thus, Inherently thought-free, Feeling-Transcendence Of All "Difference", In The Most Ultimate and Inherently Most Perfect Awakening Of Perfectly Subjective Transcendental, Spiritual, and Divine Consciousness Itself.) In the daily course of human functioning ("moving" from deep sleep, to dreaming, to ordinary waking--or from naturally unconscious, to subconscious, to ordinary conscious states), The Life-Current In Man Moves From The Right Side Of The Heart To The Middle Station Of The Heart and Then To The Left Side Of The Heart, On The Free Base (and In The Perfect Self-Domain) Of Consciousness Itself, Associated With The Right Side Of The Heart (Prior To The Knot Of attention, and The Coincident Feeling Of Separateness, and Of Relatedness, and Of "Difference", That Is Superimposed There).

Once The Life-Current Moves In The Heart, From The Right Side To The Middle Station and Then To The Left Side, and attention (Thereby) arises, With (and As) The Presumption Of ego-"I" (or the conditional, and Inherently self-Contracted, and Inherently psycho-physical, self), In The Context Of the body-mind, The Inherent (and Perfectly Subjective) Feeling Of Being (Itself), or The Transcendental (or Non-conditional) "Point Of View", Becomes (Apparently) limited by the body-mind-self (or The Necessarily conditional Feeling Of Separateness, Relatedness, and "Difference"), and The "Point Of View" Of The Transcendental (or Non-conditional) Origin (or Real Condition) Tends (Thereby) To Be Forgotten.

Thereafter, The Spiritual, Transcendental, and Divine Process (Of Realization Of The Original, or Always Already Real, Self-Condition and Source-Condition) Naturally Becomes A Kind Of "Great Path Of Return" (Via The Stages Of Life, and, At Last, Via The Right Side Of The Heart) To The Original or Transcendental (and Inherently Spiritual) Divine (or Perfectly Subjective) Self-Condition and Source-Condition. The ego-"I" Tends To Relinquish its conditional viewpoint Only Gradually, Through The Extended or Vertical Process Of The Stages Of Life (and The Progressive Stages Of The Developmental Process Of The Way Of The Heart).

Therefore, The Way Of The Heart Tends To Progress In The Likeness Of The "Great Path Of Return", Until The Final Crisis Of The Sixth Stage Of Life (Which Crisis Establishes The Seventh Stage Of Life). My Purpose (or Heart-Work) Is Not Only To Communicate Right Understanding Of the ego-"I", The Seven Stages Of Life, and The Practices and Signs Naturally Associated With Each Of The Seven Stages Of Life, but To "Radically" (or Most Directly) Introduce The Most Ultimate (Divine, and Inherently Most Perfect) Possibility Into That Entire Affair. Therefore, By Entering Into Relationship With all conditionally Manifested beings, I Call (and Work To Align) each and all To My Free Heart-Baptism (and, By Means Of My Free Heart-Baptism, I Attract each and all To My Very, and Inherently Perfect, State).
