“Only questions to be undone”

Adi Da Samraj (Bubba Free John) 1975

“I hate to tell you this, but when you really get down to the core of the Teaching you begin to realize that you are not going to be given any answers at all. There are no answers contained at any level in this process. But there is a certain influence that will destroy your questioning. I certainly hope you can make contact with it. As a matter of fact, I am it.”

***

You cannot size up your Consciousness. It is completely wide and completely mindless. The Realization of Consciousness is a mindless feeling. There is not a single answer in it. I have probed it completely, and there is no answer in it. It is exactly what it is, and it is one eternal Condition. But once you come to terms with this Realization and cease resisting it and when you are It only, you Realize that you are natively Happy. Then you start becoming peaceful.

Bubba Free John, November 11, 1975

“(If there is a question then,) “the real question is the state you are in. And the real answer is not in the form of a verbal response to verbally expressed dilemmas, or even apparently actual life-dilemmas. The real answer is the transcending of your self-contracted state.”

“You will continue to seek (by all possible means) to be free of the dilemma as you perceive it, until the forms of your seeking all of which are reactions to the root-condition (or dilemma) that is your suffering-cease to occupy you. When you come to the point where the force of your life is no longer fully captured by your search, when you know that your search is failing, that your search does not produce salvation, when you fall from ordinary fascination into a crisis, a form of despair, of doubt – then, at that point, you have become deeply available”

The Mystery of our existence is not a problem to be solved. The search for an Answer implies that the Mystery of existence is a Question. And when individuals become bound to the presumption that the Mystery of existence is a Problem or a Question, their lives become a search for Solutions or Answers in the form of experience or knowledge. But the motive of all seeking is release from the felt dilemma that is the ultimate Problem or Question itself. And all experience and knowledge are nothing more than continuous meditation on the fundamental Problem or Question that constantly remotivates the search.

The only ultimate release from the presumed Problem or Question of existence is Realized in the transcendence of that presumption itself.  Transcendence of Attention

“When the life is only open, when this incredible Force is flowing through, it churns you, it purifies the life. Then there is nothing at last to be unhappy about, nothing to think about. The flood of enjoyment rushes through the body, dissolves the mind, overwhelms the life. The real intelligence of conscious life begins to intensify and function in place of ignorance. And that intelligence has no answers. It has no questions. That state without answers and without questions is the true state. From that state, the “creation” of marvels begins. “

IGNORANCE

“We exist in the moment of Infinity. Look—everyone who ever looked like us has died. Every one of us will die. In the meantime, we are capable, in the form of our structure, to experience all kinds of things, to be associated with all kinds of influences. But if we abandon this Truth, this Understanding, this Intuition of the nature of our experience, all experience will accumulate upon us. We will, therefore, adapt to experience in itself, and we will become the reflections of it.

We are awakened at Infinity only if we can realize that the fundamental point of our existence is not knowledge at all. There are no answers. This is the whole point. We do not know at all. We do not know where we are, we do not know who we are, we do not know what we are. We do not know what the future is, we do not know what the past is. We are trying to look good—but we do not know. We are trying through the force of experience to achieve a summation that glamorizes us, but we do not know what anything is. That is the point.

This Realization does not move us to go within at all. It moves us, shattered, into the present pattern of relations at Infinity. No matter what arises in the configuration of our experience, we still do not know what anything is. All the accumulations of our experience move us into moods, attitudes, presumptions, but we still do not know at all. Where is this place? Where is it? Where is it? Where is it, exactly? I mean, really? We haven’t the slightest idea. Nobody has any idea. No matter who may claim your worship, nobody knows. Some people may look better than others, but still, nobody knows.” – Adi Da Samraj
