Chapter 5: The Seamless Garment of Love The Person of Existence “Self-Realization” (or deep abidance in the essential
inner Self) is not ultimate Liberation. “God-Realization”
(or Ecstatic inherence in the Radiant Transcendental Being,
in Whom the world and all beings are arising) is the only
ultimate Liberation. It is only when the essential Self of
the body-mind Realizes its inherence in the Transcendental
and Universal Divine Self that there is the Awakening of
perfect God-Realization. It is truly said that the Great Happiness is in the
Realization of the identity between the essential inner Self
and the Supreme Divine Self. Therefore, some preach
attachment to the essential inner Self-because of the
conventional presumption that the essential inner Self is
itself (in and as itself) identical to the Divine Being. But
those who actually Realize the Divine Self do not do so
merely by abiding in and as the essential inner Self.
Rather, they Realize that the only Truth of the essential
inner Self is its inherence in (and therefore identity with)
the Divine Self. That is, they Transcend the independent
disposition of the essential inner Self through Ecstasy, by
Realizing the universal inherence of all phenomena, all
beings, and the essential inner self in the Radiant
Transcendental Divine Being-the Person of all that
exists.
