Ego-death, or radical self-transcendence, is the transcendence of the mind by the body (via the bodys primal unity with the Radiant Transcendental Life-Consciousness that pervades the body and the entire World-Process). However, ego-death does not in principle involve the loss of mental ability. Rather, it is a matter of bodily transcendence of the mind as an alternative or separate reality and self. Therefore, it is a matter of the whole bodily (or total psycho-physical) presumption and assertion of unity with the Radiant Energy and Transcendental Consciousness that is the ultimate Reality of Man and the World-Process.
