Beezone introduction to “The Greatest Secret” published in The Free Daist bimonthly Journal, Vol 1, NBRS 4 & 5, December 1992 – January 1993, published by the Free Daist Communion (Adidam).
*The title of the article is ‘The Greatest Secret’ but actually the evening this and other events throughout the years the term is ‘The Great Secret’.
There is a Middle Way in Adidam given by Adi Da Samraj. It is a path (Sadhana) of purification and growth in The Way of the Heart. It has been given for most if not everyone and must always to be told to every generation all over the earth.
The Middle Way also called a Middle Ground is for those who are unable to make the Perfect Gesture and Embrace the Radical Way of Adidam Perfectly. The difference between the Perfect Gesture (and therefore The Perfect Practice) and the Middle Way is one of degree not of kind. The most Perfect and Direct Gesture (and Response) is ‘The Great Secret’ or ‘The Secret of Enlightenment’ requiring Perfect Surrender, Perfect Death which reveals Perfect Realization, magnifying itself as Perfect Renunciation.
The Middle Way of Adidam is for those “on the way” and is a Great Process always founded upon “The Greatest Secret”. The reason for the Middle Way is because people are required to take care of ‘Unfinished Business‘ where attention (and its extensions) need to be disciplined and purified. The work of the Middle Way is to handle business and “let nothing be leftover”. “This is how you serve your own realization; this is how you serve all beings.” One must become human before one can become spiritual.
The Middle Way is an active and conscious process founded in The Seventh Stage Way offered to householders to grow in. It is where self-transcendence, not lingering in the first three stages and “trying to work things out” is understood and disciplined. There is the Direct and Ultimate Way, and there is The Middle Way….
